A quick guide to reading your Keyword Intelligence results, and using them the right way.
Just want to run your own search term report?
Use Keyword Intelligence →Upload your Amazon search term report, and the tool sorts your search terms into three groups: word combinations worth adding as new keywords, single words worth cutting, and words that signal what your listing content should emphasise.
You don't need to clean the file first, just export the standard search term report from Campaign Manager and upload it as-is.
As soon as your file loads, the tool auto-detects a "Core Term": the word or phrase your product is fundamentally about, like "lip tint" or "spin scrubber". This isn't just a label, it's a filter. Harvest suggestions only include word combinations that contain this term, so the tool never recommends adding a keyword unrelated to your product.
Word combinations that contain your Core Term and are converting well. These are safe candidates to add as new keywords.
Single words spending money across your search terms with no orders to show for it. Worth negating to stop wasting budget.
Words converting well but not a keyword suggestion on their own, more a signal for what your listing title and bullets should emphasise.
Search terms that are actually competitor or your own product ASINs, not typed phrases. Shown separately since they represent product targeting, not keyword targeting.
This tool judges words purely by spend and conversion in your uploaded file, it doesn't know what a word means to your product.
Start with negation, cutting clearly wasteful words is the fastest win with no downside once you've sanity-checked them against your product identity.
Add harvest suggestions as new keywords, at whatever match type suits your campaign structure.
Use theme insights as direction for your listing content rather than treating them as keyword suggestions to add directly.
Upload your search term report and see exactly what to add and what to cut.
