A quick guide to reading your Listing & Opportunity Dr. results, and using them the right way.
Just want to check your own ASIN?
Use Listing & Opportunity Dr. →Paste an ASIN, and the tool gives you two things at once: a listing health score out of 100, and a read on how contested the market is around that product.
You'll also see a few context facts alongside the score, like subcategory rank and manufacturer, that help you place the listing in the bigger picture without being part of the score itself.
The score is built from four areas of the listing:
Whether the title makes full use of the character space Amazon allows, since a short title leaves valuable keyword real estate unused.
How many of the available bullet slots are filled in. Empty slots are free space competitors are filling instead.
How many distinct product images are on the listing, since more images generally support better conversion.
Whether the main image is large enough for zoom to work properly, and whether it has a clean white background, which most categories require.
Buy Box status, total offer count, and FBA competitor count are shown as their own section, deliberately kept apart from the health score.
"Uncontested" means you'd be the only real offer on that ASIN. "Contested" means multiple sellers are actively competing for the Buy Box. "No active buy box detected" can happen on suppressed, unavailable, or brand-new listings.
There's no estimated sales or revenue number anywhere in the results. Subcategory rank is the closest available substitute for gauging where a product sits within its category, and it's shown as context rather than dressed up as a sales estimate.
If the health score flags a few weak areas, fix the worst-scoring one first rather than trying to fix everything at once, listing changes take time to reflect in search results, so prioritising matters.
If the Buy Box shows "contested" or "no active buy box detected," that's a signal that ad spend alone won't fix the underlying problem, it's worth a pricing or inventory review before increasing bids.
Heavy FBA and offer competition means the listing itself needs to be genuinely strong before ad spend can work efficiently, a great campaign structure on a weak listing will still underperform.
Paste an ASIN and see its listing health score and market opportunity, instantly.
